How to have the maximum fun in Georgia heat and humidity ? Step #1 Find yourself in a metal closet that is 15 degrees hotter then the ambient outside temp. Step #2 Then then lay on a blanket while you sweat bullets getting more delirious and sticky and smelly. Step #3 Wander around a truck stop at 4:00 AM unable to sleep till you just can't stand it any more and decide to take a shower to get some relief. Step #4 Discover that your shower has no cold water. the temp of the water goes from minimally vary unpleasantly warm, all the way to let's boil some lobster heat.
At least my mechanic knew what was what with my AC system. Replacing the expansion valve did solve my problem and I am blissfully under the blasting cold air in the truck.
My next load is going from flowery branch,Georgia to Youngsville, North Carolina, it looks about 600 mi away or so. I better get to it.

I made my delivery on time(June 28th), in fact I was several hours early hopeful to be allowed to unload early. Unfortunately for me I had to wait in the heat till It was exactly 2:00 pm in the afternoon. Well I got done with my delivery made it back up to Dalton from Atlanta in evening traffic and as I expected the all the shop folks were gone for the day. So here I am on the 29th waiting my turn for the shop to get to me, eventually they did and they replaced my air filters and tested the system they discovered that the "expansion" valve was defective or plugged up. A replacement will be delivered tomorrow and after that has been installed I should have AC again.
My dispatcher is going to be pissed, because some how she got the impression that I would be done this evening and ready to go with a load she has planned for me. I have called her back and left a voice mail informing her of the latest developments here at the shop. I doubt vary much she is going to be a happy camper. It's never a good idea to pee in your dispatcher's cornflakes.. I dreading what she is going to do to me once the truck is up and running again.

A lot has happened the last few days. The most trouble some is that my Air conditioning is not working well. At night it will blow some cool air, but as soon as it warms up it blows less air and the air is only a little cool. I am sensitive to heat and it makes me tired and sick. I managed to tough it out for the last 2 days but today I nearly passed out. I got pulled over to a truck parking area closed the blinds and hoped that the ac would partly work I don't remember much from this afternoon I think I passed out. Eventually I came to around 7:30 pm and I have drove in to Dalton, Ga I am roughly 120 mi from my destination. I have to deliver my load at 2:00pm on the 28th. After I deliver my load I will not move an inch till the AC is Fixed.
Tiffany my dear wife saved my financial bacon with a loan I will have to pay her back with all haste. I really don't like borrowing money from people. The obligation and the fact that I had to do it at all makes me feel filthy and lower then dirt.
I am finally on the East coast I am going to ask Chrissie my dispatcher for this area to keep me for as long as possible in this area it is my hope to get visit my children more often.

There was no freight on the 23rd so i ended up sitting in Helena,MT.
I discovered that I have made a poor decision that will hurt me for the next couple of weeks, my CB radio was not working so I decided to purchase a new one. It's not a tool that I use all that often but when you need it it's awfully handy. I thought I had more then enough to cover the expense I was wrong . A few other bills came through and I have also been making smaller purchases like drinks and corn-dogs etc. It turns out I have been over drawn for many of these small purchases. I am now 100.00 in the hole. and I don't think I am going to get a paycheck next week. Thankfully I do have some grocery's so I don't think i will starve much.

Tonight I am sitting in Helena, Mt. My dispatcher has no freight for me till tomorrow. I really hope I get a good long load with no drops, Well will just have to see.
I took a shower and that felt really good. I am still going through all my stuff and getting the truck cleaned up and everything put where I want it. It's late and I need to get some sleep.
